Cox Family Home Inspection is a fully licensed and insured family owned and operated home inspection company. We strive to uphold our reputation for excellent service, knowledge, and providing high-detailed reports so you can make a well-informed decision.
Cox Family Home Inspection is dedicated to offering knowledge and peace of mind. I perform comprehensive home inspections, utilizing the latest technology in detection equipment, including moisture meters, gas detectors, and infrared cameras. My inspections include foundation, roofing, building structure, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
(Payment must be made before I send the inspection report.)
I am an InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector licensed in the state of Indiana through IPLA (Indiana Professional Licensing Agency). I also hold my Commercial Pesticide Business License through the Office of Indiana State Chemist, so I am able to do termite inspections as well.
Thermography is an effective tool for examining the structural components of buildings as well as to perform surveys of the thermal and moisture envelope of a home. Infrared can help detect hidden air leaks as well as water leaks. It can also help find missing insulation or even electrical components that are possibly overheating.
Remote Pilot Certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as well as InterNACHI Certified Drone Pilot for home inspections. Drones are a great tool to safely inspect hard-to-reach areas such as steep roofs, chimneys, facia, gutters, and siding. I use my drones only in proper weather conditions on a need basis. I believe the best inspection is to inspect by using ladders as well as climbing on to the roof, however the drones are a great alternative for those hard-to-reach dangerous areas.
Sewer Scope Inspections included. A sewer scope is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line from the house at/near the foundation to the city/HOA tap or septic tank. Sewer lines do not last forever and are often damaged or improperly installed. I currently do not offer septic inspections.
Termite inspections included that are reported on NPMA-33 Form. NPMA-33 is a form from the National Pest Management Association. NPMA-33 covers the inspection for wood destroying insects: termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and reinfesting wood boring beetles.
